Loosing it

An Invisible wall stands between us

We gave it permission,

Or maybe a product of our own work.

With every conflict…

…words that contradict understanding

creating tension affecting our efforts,

affecting our natural immersion.

Hands slowly letting go, fingers barely touching.

So close but we feel so far, so distant,

Not in the sense of commonalities or care,

Those still reflect love, in those we still find comfort.

It’s the rest…

Neglected, uninvited.

It’s now a special event.

One we can rarely afford

One needing thoughtful planning…

…on a moment with less mindful traffic,

where there is space between our thoughts.

Our bodies too tired, our minds too busy

Flirtation becomes a rarity,

Desire screaming to be revived.

So much so, it feels a pulling,

Towards other directions.

Curiosity taking over,

On what’s on the other side…

Not of that invisible wall.
